We've hired Caffrey Tree & Landscape multiple times for a variety of services: cutting down trees, stump grinding small and large fallen trees, trimming trees and removing broken limbs, and most recently to plant several large evergreen trees. I had the pleasure of hiring Caffrey Tree & Landscaping to remove 10 trees and a huge section of brush and undergrowth from my property in North Brunswick, NJ. Not only were they on time, professional and nice to work with, but they went above and beyond with safety and used all of the correct equipment. Some of the trees were hard to get too, but they used skilled workers and the foreman was on the job to supervise every day. They cleaned everything up and were careful on the lawn and existing flower beds. They ground the stumps down and it turned out they missed a few of the smaller ones (keep in mind, it was a huge job). I called the owner and they came back AT NO CHARGE to get the remaining stumps for me. This was a huge job and I got quotes from other 7 tree services. Their price to do the job was very reasonable and worth every penny. I was completely satisfied with all the work they did. All the workers were courteous and considerate of my property. Also, they were kind enough to pile sections of the trees for me on my second lot of property so I could cut them up for firewood and use in my own fireplace. I also asked them to spray the wood chips into my second lot and they did that for me too. I would hire them to do more work or recommend them to anyone who wants a professional, timely, affordable job done on their premises. Great bunch of guys! Thanks so much.

Mr. Caffrey and his crew provide excellent work. We had storm damage with several trees down and a tree puncturing our roof, attic, and bedroom ceiling. Mr. Caffrey responded quickly to my phone call and was out the next morning (a Sunday) with a full crew to begin work on removing an 80+ foot pin oak from my roof and other trees from my property. They worked for three days to remove all the downed trees and debris and even ad to bring in a crane to pull the tree branches out of and off the roof. Mr. Caffrey was present everyday of the job. Five years ago another Professional Landscape & Design Company from Branchburg, New Jersey planted six 10'beautiful Leland Cypress trees along the perimeter of my backyard in addition to two Dogwood trees, one 11'feet high. In it's first season the 11' Dogwood never flourished and eventually died 3 years later, despite my calls for help beginning in the very first year. For the first couple of years the Leland Cypress seemed to grow beautifully, but not to potential. In addition, one by one I began to notice a significant amount of branches progressively die from the inside out. All I could imagine was eventually loosing all six of them as I had so quickly lost the beautiful Dogwood Tree

Knowing I would receive no assistance from the Landscaping Company responsible for planting them, I reached out to other Landscapers, and Nursery's in my local area for help, including testing the soil. Much to my disappointment no one could identify why this was occurring. I am a longtime customer of Parker Greenhouse, in Scotch Plains, NJ. The quality of their plants and trees, in addition to their excellent customer service, has always exceeded my expectations. After describing my problem with Debbie C. at Parker Greenhouse, in Scotch Plains, NJ, she highly recommended Caffrey Tree Landscape, attesting if Bob Caffrey could not diagnose the problem, then no one can.

I called Bob and he was at my house the next day. In less than five minutes he diagnosed the problem and provided the solution that would nurse my trees back to health. Here's the catch ... As deep root fertilizing was part of the process, before he could even begin, he needed to correct the problem no one could identify. The balls of my trees had been planted into the ground surrounded by the wire and burlap they had arrived in. These materials were the culprits, tangling and preventing root growth, and ultimately choking each tree. Bob Caffery was the only landscaper to immediately narrow down the problem.

The very next morning Bob and his team were hard at work on the root system, nurturing each tree, "finally" allowing natural growth in a healthy future. In addition, he offered to assess the rest of my property to ensure maximum tree health at no additional charge.

I wish I had met Bob and his team years ago. I know if I did, I would still have that beautiful Dogwood to cast its shade in my backyard!

I had Caffrey Tree Service come out last week for a big job. They took down three very large, very tall oak trees, pruned about 5 other tall trees, chipped up a bunch of brush I had accumulated and ground down all the stumps left over plus a few that were there to begin with. I worked with Lou who gave me a very fair price and showed up at the project site both days. His team of workers were friendly and really worked their butts off. They used proper safety equipment and make sure that the falling limbs wouldn't damage any of my or my neighbor's property. They even laid out sheets of plywood on the yard for the trucks to drive on so the tires wouldn't damage my lawn. Following the tree removal & grinding they used leaf blowers to clean up the area before they packed up and left. I can honestly say they were excellent and professional.

I echo all previous reviews. Crew knew what they were doing...fast, efficient. Cleaned up as if they were never there except for the giant hazard over my house that is now gone! Got 5 estimates and they were the best by far.

Great Job fellas and very professional ! These guys came to my home and got the job done and did a flat out Great job! The cleaned up after themselves, they removed the stump and logs! I was told 2 years ago by the home inspector that a specific tree I have in my backyard only had 2 years left. Rather than taking the risk of it falling onto my home, I wanted to be proactive and get it looked at by a professional. I was afraid that just having someone over to look at it would provide an opening for them to just tear the tree down regardless because why would I know anything about trees? Anyway, the owner Bob came over and said everything was fine with it and didn't charge me for the visit. I appreciate the fact that we have honest businesses in the neighborhood.
